ABOUT MISE
Hi, I’m Mise. Well…not really. But that’s what you can call me here.
I’m 25, a mom, wife, full-time student, pastry chef, early childhood classroom aide, and future teacher who’s currently somewhere in the messy middle of figuring out how all of those pieces fit together.
Food has always been a big part of my life, especially pastry, but somewhere along the way I realized that I don’t just love making things–I love teaching people how to make them, too. So now I’m building a life that hopefully has room for both.
Mise in Progress is where I’m documenting everything that happens along the way: culinary school, pastry experiements, recipes, work, motherhood, becoming a teacher, occasional kitchen disasters, and all the other parts of trying to build the life you want while you’re already busy living one.
I’m keeping my real name tucked away for now. Starting this blog already required enough courage.
So around here, I’m just Mise.
And much like everything else in my life, I’m still gathering the ingredients.
